THE PROJECT

The freehold interest in the Trent Navigation Inn was acquired in April 2008.With all regulatory and planning applications approved, works on the first phase of the restoration commenced in May. This was a complete renovation project, not a basic cosmetic job. It consisted of the demolition of the old toilet block & addition of a complete new block (on piled foundations) on the west side; new electrics & plumbing throughout; all new cellar cooling,  gas & beer line dispense system; new structural support; new flooring, ceilings, windows, doors, signs, tiling etc. And, of course, a fabulous bar which is one of the most visible of the improvements made.
 
 
The photos below provide a chronological view of the works in progress, the first photos showing the state of the building at the time of purchase, the last showing completion.
